Yes, I’m aware it’s summer. Yes, I’m always late for everything… including updating my posts clearly. But better late than never, right?! Yea, let’s just go with that…
Today I’m updating about my letters I sent to my original kids this past winter. With my focus on just two main letters a year I wanted to make sure I really went all out. I decided to make a switch from my usual Christmas themed letter and focus on winter. We had one heck of a winter here in Connecticut this year so I thought it’d be nice to share all of our snow with them. Here’s what I ended up putting together.
Ingrid’s letter was one of the basic letters in this group. I included a snow themed card, a Frozen themed puzzle, stickers, cut out snow flakes, a polar bear post card and photos of our 4+ feet of snow (not pictured).
Mike received a similar package with additional snow flake stickers since his father wrote to me previously about him being excited to get this letter with snow!
Chris’s turn. I included very similar items for him as well with a little pop of color for his stickers.
Since Ann was my first sponsor child, she’s seen a lot already! But I still wanted to send her a little something especially with some photos since we haven’t gotten this much snow since I’ve started to write to her.
Elizabeth’s letter had a few extra’s in it! Since her birthday was coming up soon I included some birthday items for her as well. I added a few balloons along with a paper doll set similar to the one I sent to Ann for her birthday in the previous post.
For Veasna’s letter, I also included a few extra items. Cambodia’s new year was right around the corner and since I don’t typically send her anything for her birthday (not a tradition for many Cambodians) I usually try to send something for the New Year. I decided to go along with the other birthday letters I had been sending this year and included a small red envelope with a paper doll for her to play with.
